Dale Dennis David
Tech Startup Founder in San Francisco, California
Dale builds and creates things.
He is the founder of the Local-First Health Initiative. Additionally, he founded Mycure, a clinic system, EasyJoey, and the healthcare APIs platform HAPI Hub, among others. Prior to these startups, he also founded and ran Team OPS, a software development company, for 11 years.
Wealth has never been a primary motivation for him. Making an impact is, especially if it is beneficial to kids. As such, he also started and continues to volunteer for MightyMind, a nonprofit organization - his way of ‘paying it forward.'
He was also a co-director, mentor, and volunteer at Founder Institute (Manila Chapter), a Silicon Valley-based program. Supporting the tech startup community is likewise an advocacy of his.
He has co-authored a book, “Filipino Pride,” and led a team to develop the first Filipino-themed game on iTunes & Google play SIPA. He also founded Pickld, a winner of the Creative Business Cup and an alum of MaGIC Cohort 1 in Kuala Lumpur.
Dale likes to explore and learn new things, mostly on a shoestring budget. He has hiked through the Himalayas, explored the Mt. Everest trek, backpacked in Southeast Asia, and gone on a road trip driving from the East to West Coast in the US through the historic Route 66 and in the Appalachian mountains through the Blue Ridge Parkway. Likewise, he did the same in the Garden Route, a 300-kilometer stretch of the southeastern coast of South Africa.
He is solar-powered; he needs the sun to energize himself. In his younger years, he used to dabble in dragon boat rowing, sculling, surfing, wall climbing, mountaineering, frisbee, and triathlons.
He graduated with the highest distinction in his master's class at the University of the Philippines and also completed a one-year graduate program in management at Harvard University.
Every day he asks himself this: Are you living a life of passion and without regrets?
Dale is currently based in San Francisco, California.
