Elancio Williams

Elancio Robert Williams was born in Upper Saint John, Grenada, WI on September 25, 1943 he was the fourth child of Samson Williams and Louisa Forteau Williams. So began the life of the man that the people gathered here today were proud to call their brother, cousin, uncle, coworker, mentor, teacher and also their friend.
He was a teacher at the Methodist School in Grenada. He then migrated to the US in 1971. In 1972 he joined the military. He served three years in the United States Army and afterwards gained his US citizenship. He received an honorable discharge from service. In the US Army he received an Expert Badge for handling an M16 Rifle. He also received a Good Conduct Medal. He went on to achieve two masters. One in Business Administration and one in Political Science. He went onto work with the IRS and then to the New York Housing Authority from which he retired after 25 years of service. He was an elder in the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Lebanon SDA and would often open the doors for the Church on Sabbath mornings. Elancio never married and did not have any children.
