Businessman Elan Jaglom has broad experience in private equity investment and asset management, but is probably best known for his career in the printing industry, in which he has managed and chair numerous companies in the sector.
One among Elan’s early involvements in the digital printing world was as an executive director of Idanit Technologies, an Israeli based firm with a focus on methods for large format digital printing along with a revolutionary force in business oriented digital printing. In 1998 the firm was bought by the Scitex Corporation, and rebranded Scitex Idanit, that was later bought by Hewlett Packard. At present, the firm is the graphics design division of HP, delivering innovative alternatives for business oriented inkjet printing, specifically for the production of diverse size, top quality ads and paper prints.
Today Elan Jaglom serves as Chairman of the Board of Stratasys Ltd., an industry innovator in the area of high-resolution 3D inkjet printing techniques. The company specializes in rapid availability of highly accurate 3D printing for fast prototyping and manufacturing applications for new class of customers. Stratasys’ systems and materials for three-dimensional model production allow designers and manufacturers to cut back product development cost and significantly shorten time-to-market for first time products. Today the company has a network of offices throughout the world that take care of the sales and distribution of its solutions and products, with head office in Rehovot, Israel’s science centre.
A believer in also giving back to community, Jaglom makes contributions to several charitable organizations. The Israel Multiple Sclerosis Society is one of the beneficiaries of those charitable donations, addition to a variety of animal care organizations.
Elan Jaglom is a high flier in leisure along with business, having a pilot’s certificate for light-weight airplanes.
