Mahmoud Elbagoury is a Champion, Strategist, Entrepreneur, Speaker and Thought Leader in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Control & Audit. He helps organization think differently by becoming Principle Performers to help them reliably achieve their objectives, while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity.
He is currently Member of the Advisory Technical Committee of the Board of Directors (BoD), Member of the Risk Consulting (RC) Recruitment Committee, KPMG Business School (KBS) National Leader, Collaboration and Knowledge (C&K) Champion, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS) Manager at KPMG.
Mahmoud has been worked with the largest telecom service provider in the Middle East and Africa in Internal Audit Department in a senior position. Prior to that he was Audit Senior Associate at KPMG, performing internal and external audits and advisory services for clients in various industries.
Mahmoud is a Founder and Partner at Chief Audit Executives Forum (CAEF), Internal Audit Forum Group (IAFG), Information Technology Audit Forum (ITAF), Internal Control Forum Group (ICFG), Governance, Risk & Compliance Society (GRCS), Ethics & Compliance Society (E&CS), Enterprise Risk Management Group (ERMG).
He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and has been an active IIA volunteer serving at the local and international level. He is also working as a volunteer Subject Matter Expert in Corporate Governance for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a volunteer Subject Matter Professional in Internal Audit for the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Mahmoud is a graduate of Al-Azhar University (Bachelor Degree in Accountancy), Edinburgh Napier University (Qualification in Internal Audit) and Harvard Business School (Organizational Leadership Executive Program).
