Elchanan Grabarsky

A longtime engineer and technology executive, Elchanan Grabarsky earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in electrical engineering from The George Washington University. He began his career as a research engineer with Hydronautics, Inc., in Laurel, Maryland. In this role, he designed electronic equipment used in pollution research. After two years with the company, Elchanan Grabarsky took a position as the chief television and audio-visual engineer with the audio-visual department at The George Washington University, a position in which he maintained the university’s CCTV system, television studio, and other AV programs.
After leaving The George Washington University, Elchanan Grabarsky held key positions with organizations such as The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and the National Captioning Institute before joining DiscoVision Associates as a manager. In this leadership role, he oversaw a team of 150 employees while developing breakthrough technology in the laserdisc industry. He continued to pioneer the home video market as the founding manager of 20th Century Fox’s Deluxe Video Systems division.
Currently, Mr. Grabarsky serves as the chief financial officer of B.Y.E., Inc, in Beverly Hills, California.
