In the Kalmyk village, the story of the simple Buddhist family of Baira and her husband with the strange name S’ezd which means Delegation in Russian (he was named by his father in honor of Delegation of the Socialism Party). Both in love taking care of livestock and living farm life, watching after each other. Living perfect life, suddenly S’ezd brings to the house a second wife – he promised to his neighbor before she died, to marry her granddaughter. Granddaughter - a young beautiful girl, and pregnant. God didn’t gift them with a child. S’ezd has decided to take his young wife: to bear a child for him. No matter how patriarchal Baira was raised, she can’t accept the role of the "senior wife", she looks at the mirror – she is 40... Feeling superfluous, Baira decides to leave her native village and for the city. I will take revenge and get back with the "second husband”, she thinks. The city lifestyle is full of surprises, disappointments and cruelty. Baira will experience euphoria of happiness and will be nearly dead. She will meet different characters while living and working in the city, each of them will leave a trace in the fate and life of Baira. She is going to feel like Cinderella –meeting fairy prince, who will fell in love with her, but the Eldest Wife came to the city with other plans on her mind. Her goal is to find a chance to revenge her husband... Will Baira marry another man? What kind of revenge and how it will end up–movie will tell...
