Tomer Eldor
Data Science and PM for Social Impact in San Francisco, California
I’m passionate about leveraging data and technology for social impact.
After dedicating most of my life to being a jazz musician, I began my passion for technology at the IDF intelligence. I realized the importance of social good after volunteering and learning meditation, Buddhism and yoga for a year in rural Asia. I decided to combine my technological skills to help people first by building an affordable home solar powered system for off-grid areas in Africa at Lumos, by doing Product Managment for the live learning platform at Minerva Project, and doing Data Science at Via.
I tried to make positive impact at each city I’ve lived in: from helping Concrn at San Francisco assist the homeless by building their responders app and fundraising over $30K, helping Kiron reduce churn of new refugees from their learning platform by creating a (meta) MOOC teaching how to learn online, or consluting the Argentinian Ministry of Education on innovation in education.
Today, I’m leading the Impact Coalition at impactlabs.io, empowering tech students and professionals to utilize their tech skills for social impact.
