I transferred to Regent University from Virginia Wesleyan College in my sophomore year. I am at Regent studying communications so that I can work in the field of Journalism.
One day I would like to travel around Asia writing about their culture and/or artifact findings for publications such as Time or National Geographic. Eventually, sometime in my life, I want to enroll in a cinema makeup and design school to learn professional special effects makeup. After doing it for 4 years, for a local hayride I've found that I enjoy it.
I lead a very colorful life, or at least I think that I do. Let’s see, I am of German and Polish descent. My mother runs a 7-acre no-kill animal sanctuary in Chesapeake, VA. We have just about every animal out there to take care of (horses, pigs, chickens, llamas, dogs, cats, ferrets, parrots, bunnies, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and a sugar glider). We also do wildlife rehabilitation; during the summer we get a lot of baby raccoons. Occasionally we might get deer, squirrels, and opossums.
I do have two animals out there that I call my own; a rooster named C.J. and a quarter horse named Blaze. C.J. was seized from cock fighting in Norfolk and as a result of the training most people are afraid to approach him. But, when I go out to the shelter and do my stuff I’ll take him with me in my car to get my breakfast through the drive-in.
I'm not necessarily an outdoorsy person, but I do a lot of outside activities such as horseback riding, barrel racing, archery, surfing, swim, and golf. One day I would like to become a great enough horsemen and archer so that I can hit targets while riding. When I can I like to read; I tend to gravitate toward fictional historical romances, sometimes with a Christian emphasis. I also like go to hot yoga and the gym, make things (I'm very crafty), and sleep.
My favorite book in the Bible is 1 Corinthians, and my favorite verses in the Bible are 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I often find myself leaning on the prayer of Saint Michael and the Lord's Prayer. The lives of Saint Francis and Gandhi are a constant inspiration for me.
