Hi, I’m Eleanor. I’m a sociology major at Occidental College.
I am passionate about female empowerment and community change. Within the politics department, I conducted research on gender and race diversity in Hollywood to give movie goers a tool to make smart consumer choices. Check out our project. In the Eagle Rock community, I mentor young women at the local middle school through the amazing program WYSE (Women And Youth Supporting Each Other).
This past semester I studied abroad in Bali and Java, Indonesia. In addition to learning the language Bahasa Indonesia, I immersed myself in the topics of arts, religion, and social change.
Originally from the East Coast, I have adjusted well to the constant sunshine and exciting atmosphere of Los Angeles. In my free time I enjoy travel, arts, running, and yoga. I can also be found reading with a cup of tea, spending time with friends, or in the kitchen cooking.
