Eleanor Harte is a Boston-based journalism and political science major in the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has had a passion for storytelling since she was young, and now she hopes to carry this passion into the journalism field.
Her interests lie in the intersection of education, women's empowerment, politics, and the use of social media for news distribution. She is fascinated by international reporting, digital media, and telling people's stories.
She has experience with digital journalism, particularly writing articles geared toward teenage girls and young women. She is a writer for HerCampus UMass Amherst and the Massachusetts Daily Collegian.
She is a graphic designer and managing editor for The Smart Girls Group, an online community aimed at empowering young women.
When she's not writing or finding out what's going on in the world through Twitter, she can often be found reading a good book, flipping through a magazine, or continuing her quest to become a runner.
