Ting (Eleanor) Zhou

My name is Ting Zhou, however, I prefered to be called Eleanor. I am a senior at University of Illinois majoring in Communication and minoring in Leadership Studies. I am pursuing a job in Human Resource management, but I also want to do Event Coordinating. I am a social committee member of the I-Promise organization as well as a tutor for Yankee Ridge Elementary. While working as a tutor, I adapted a skill to motivate people as well as build leadership around them. As a member of the social commitee, I also learned to plan ahead and share creative ideas to attract students in the I-promise program to join the organization. Being an extravert, I love to work with people and run around places. For example, my leadership studies course had an activity which required us to get in a team of 5 and work together in order to solve clues and get a prize. However, to get the clues we have to run around the campus while figuring out a riddle. While running around campus solving clues, I was pumped up with excitement because we are working together and getting to know each other.
