Kevin K. Dean is a dedicated leader in higher education and online learning, with over 20 years of experience as an administrator, educator, and innovator. He currently serves as the Director of the Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) at SUNY Schenectady County Community College, where he champions student success through enhanced academic support, financial resources, and comprehensive advising.

Kevin’s career reflects a deep commitment to educational access and excellence, demonstrated in roles such as Associate Dean of Instruction at Bryant & Stratton College and Coordinator of the Advanced Certificate in Veterans Services at SUNY Empire State College. His expertise spans instructional design, program development, and strategic leadership, particularly in initiatives supporting nontraditional and veteran students.

With a strong academic foundation, Kevin holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Administration and Leadership, and a doctoral pursuit in Higher Education Administration. As a veteran, Kevin’s personal and professional experiences inspire his advocacy for military-affiliated students, ensuring their transition into academic environments is both supportive and successful.

In addition to his professional work, Kevin is an accomplished speaker and thought leader in community college innovation and online education. He is passionate about integrating data-driven strategies to enhance teaching and learning, leveraging his expertise in Learning Management Systems to support institutional goals.

Outside of work, Kevin is a devoted father and an advocate for autism awareness, drawing from his journey parenting a neurodiverse child. His personal experiences enrich his empathetic approach to education and his drive to create inclusive and equitable learning environments.
