Welcome to ELEI DANCE. Our vision is to “Empower generations through the beauty of siva Samoa”.
ELEI is an acronym for our values: EMPOWER, LEADERSHIP, EXCELLENCE & INTEGRITY. It is also named after our founder's daughter Keren Eleitino. We welcome all who are wanting to experience learning more about Samoan culture through dance.

PROGRAM INFO
ELEI DANCE is for girls only. We are looking to offer a boys program in the near future.
Each program runs for 8 weeks during the school terms. There is a ‘Fiafia Night’ to celebrate at the end, free of charge for families and friends to come and watch.
A small cost is required for puletasi (Sāmoan female attire) material, that each girl must wear as part of their fiafia night uniform. Parents must source their own seamstress at their own expense. All girls keep their puletasi at the end of the program.
AGES FOR EACH CLASS
**Salamāsina: 5yrs - 6yrs
**Levālasi: 7yrs - 9yrs
**Nafanua: 10yrs - 12yrs
**Tausala: 13yrs - 18yrs+
**Lupe o le foaga: Mums (of registered girls during each term) - on hold.
TUTORING TEAM
Our tutoring team is led by founder and director, Lorna Fa'alafi who has been teaching siva Sāmoa for over 25 years. She is a qualified and trained Primary school teacher that has taught both in NZ and Samoa. Young tutor leaders also assist and parent volunteers.
REGISTRATIONS
These are completed ONLINE. The link is sent out with the new term flyer via our Facebook page during school holidays before the new term starts. It is a ‘first come first serve' basis.
2022 CALENDAR DATES
TERM 2: Starting early May (register April School Holidays).
TERM 3: Starting early Aug (register July School Holidays)
TERM 4: Starting mid October (register Sep-Oct school holidays).
