Traveling on a holiday is expected to be a memorable time. It must have cost you a considerable amount of money and time, and the last thing you want is to get caught up flat footed on problems you could have avoided. Therefore, it is important that any traveler knows what not to do when traveling on a holiday.

Assume Things Will Go as Planned

Traveling on holiday to another country or town can be unpredictable. Different towns have different weather patterns, laws, cultures and time zones. It would be a mistake to assume that all will go as you planned. The weather might change to the worst, flight might get cancelled or delayed, or you might fall ill on your travel day.

Some cities like Toronto and Atlanta have been known to experience sudden rainstorms with disaster response equally being unpredictable. It would be a good travel practice to carry spare clothes, make travel insurance arrangements in advance and travel earlier than scheduled.
