Elena Comperatore

Elena, originally from Pittsburgh, moved to North Georgia from Southwest Florida to join the Career Services department. She received her MBA in 2009 from Hodges University, where she was also the Career Development Coordinator for nearly 6 years. Elena has a very diverse background in construction, administration and career counseling. One of her professional passions has been studying the generational differences in the workplace, which led to a paper she wrote being published in 2008 in the Journal of Business and Economic Research.
A Career Services Specialist for the University of North Georgia, with about 7 years of experience in the Career Services field. This entails assisting current students and alumni with their job search process through career decisions, choosing a major, resume development, cover letters, job search skills, interviewing and networking techniques; providing various career related workshops; develop and maintain relationships with employers and professional organizations to generate job leads; organize on campus interviewing events, career fairs and employer spotlights. Experience working with both traditional and non-traditional students/alumni.
Previously, as the Career Development Coordinator for Hodges University, many of the career related duties were the same but also included; tracking and calculating graduate employment rates; creating and implementing departmental annual goals and outcomes; working with student clubs and organizations on various community projects and developing their leadership skills; maintain website/portal, job posting board and some marketing materials.
