Elena Kotsi

Stage/Costume/Lighting & Visual Designer

My name is Eleni Kotsi.

Born in Athens, I was attracted to the world of art from an early age. Specifically, my inclination to the world of theater inspired me to attend undergraduate studies at the School of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As a student, I had the opportunity to attend various theater classes, from core curriculum courses to electives and collective student productions, in order to be exposed to as many different options and career paths as possible. As a result of this fruitful educational process, I chose to specialize in Lighting Design as well as Stage & Costume Design, areas where my creativity, talent and passion combine successfully and I achieve results that satisfy my interests and fulfill my future career aspirations.

Since 2010 and while a student, I had the opportunity to be an active member of different theatre companies and assist in numerous productions as an assistant lighting designer. From 2012 until recently, I pursued my professional career and undertook projects on an independent basis that demanded design and operation of lighting sets, stage and costume design and creation as well as teaching creative performance and free-hand drawing to students. As a further step in my development, I studied graphic art digital design software, such as 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, ArchiCAD, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, during 2013-2014, in a specialized private college in Thessaloniki. In September 2015 I graduated with the MA Digital Theatre degree of Wimbledon College of Arts-UAL-,specialized in projection mapping techniques for theatre and performing arts.
