Eleni Konstantatou

Born in Athens 1985. One of her favourite games as a child was climbing her dad’s desk, drawing with his pantones on the light-table. She studied Graphic Design and Photography and holds a Bachelor of Honours in Visual Communication Design from Middlesex University|2008. She has been studying form, color and textiles, she likes collage and loves making things with her hands. In her free time Eleni enjoys experimenting with various different materials, cameras and projectors, exploring new forms of theatre, travelling with her Nikon and her ipod, cooking with her friends and playing the drums.

Her Dissertation Project ”7 boxes” was a study on the nowadays relationship between Athens’ people and their city, viewed by the stories of 7 completely different characters who where selected to develop their own unique stories into one final coherent theme. Combining people and buildings, illustration and photograhy, colors and objects, thoughts, feelings and sounds of the city. Every box had a different story to tell. 7 souls. The final outcome was a series of 7 Collage Boards and an experimental video Installation Performance, for which she used several mixed media techniques.

Since October 2010 she has been studying her Masters in Set Design & Scenic Space Faculty at the Technical University of Berlin. Directly after her Master Thesis Presentation, a theatrical Video Performance Installation ”Hamlet, die Blaue Stunde”, Eleni has joined the Set & Costume Design Team of the National Theater of Germany in Weimar, Bauhaus.
