Elgun Gurbanov

I am Elgun Gurbanov. I was born and live in Ismayilli city of Azerbaijan. I received my Bachelor degree from Azerbaijan State Economic University in Finance. Since my university entrance score was very high (655/700) I graduated a Specially Talented Group at the university. During my studies at the University I attended many trainings and seminars and won intellectual TV game as a team leader.
Stemming from the need of youth in the field, I decided to develop a website under the name of Edu- active (www.edu-active.com) in 2013, which has become one of the most followed websites in World in very short period of time. There are a number of similar websites in Europe and World. However there are sponsored by different companies and are managed by several administrators. Edu-active is supported only by me on a volunteer basis. I have not received any donations to support the website so far. The website is intended to provide job, education, internship, and many more opportunities for the young people. Moreover, it is the only database available for free in Azerbaijan and is the most innovative and youth-focused website. It has 100,000 registered users, 1000 young persons have been employed, 100 students have been selected for the internship at Europe and 5000+ persons have participated at the events in Europe through the resources of the website. The website has been followed in 184 countries of the world, where the first 20 are European countries. I collaborate with a number of youth organizations to promote their events and other activities.
Azerbaijan is a member of the Council of Europe and is an ENPI country that shares European common values such as democracy, human rights, gender equality, a secular state and culture. The country demonstrates strong willingness to integrate to Europe. I believe the work I am carrying out promotes Azerbaijan’s youth policy in integration to Europe.
