Elhadji Gueye

Elhadji Gueye, also known as Haj Gueye is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Haj Designs, Inc.
Having studied under the both his father, Barra Gueye, and Gianni Versace, as well as Chez Michele.

Haj Gueye was born in Senegal and raised in Paris, and is a third generation designer. He trained under the strict guidance of his father, Barra Gueye, a well-known designer who created apparel for French and West African aristocracy as well as World War II troops. Elhadji Gueye worked throughout Europe until 1987 when he moved to the United States after gaining notoriety in Paris as the winner of the Young Designer of the Year Award for three consecutive years.

Each order that HAJ Designs fills is individually processed and cut by hand to the client's measurements and specifications. While mass production has become the norm everywhere, our craftsmen cut, trim, and stitch every garment by hand - using machines only to enhance their skills.
