Eliacin Rosario-Cruz
I am a husband & father, wandering spiritual companion, photographer, communitarian, priest.
My family and I are participants in a web of communities with different levels of intentionality– residential and non-residential. My interest in “intentional community” is part of my cultural heritage. I was raised with a very communal consciousness. In my early 20′s I discovered the works of Fr. Ernesto Cardenal from Nicaragua and his “neo-monastic” community in the Solentiname Islands. Since then on, my interest and practice have deepened as I explore more about communities of faith, resistance and creativity.
I am was pastoral leader at Breakfast Liturgy an experimental gathering around a breakfast meal seeking to foster community, prayer and hospitality. Our beloved experienced lasted for four years. The spirit of the community continue as many of us still gathered around tables for home-cooked meals, storytelling and human connection.
I am a Priest in The Episcopal Church. I currently living in Vancouver, WA where I am the Curate at St. Luke's -San Lucas Episcopal Church.
