Elia Saikaly is an award-winning adventure filmmaker whose global adventures inspire others to find their most meaningful life and spark positive change.

Never having slept in a tent, Elia’s adventure filmmaking career began on the slopes of Mt. Everest were he set out to honour the life of his fallen mentor. With over 16 expeditions under his belt, Elia has proven time and time again that he has the determination, stamina, skill, resourcefulness, and vision required to meet the greatest of challenges.

On May 22nd, 2013, Elia stood on top of the world for the 2nd time. Not only did he climb to the summit of Mt. Everest, he shot a reality television series and shared the journey with thousands of students via ePals.com, the fastest growing K-12 social network on Earth. He’s climbed 5 of the seven summits, participated in 6 Himalayan climbs and has led youth expeditions which were all broadcast on the web and shared in ‘real-time’ via his interactive school learning program FindingLife that empowers and educates youth through the platform of adventure.

Represented by www.speakers.ca, as an inspirational speaker, Elia shares tales of his epic adventures and shows others how to find the courage and strength to live out their dreams, embrace the unknown and contribute to a better world in the process. He brings to life tales of humanity and transports his audience to some of the most remote, inspiring and often inhospitable environments on Earth.

Elia spends much of this time working in partnership which charities such as Moving Mountain Trust and Childhaven International. He recently led an initiative that saw Canadian school children raise money to build classrooms in Kenya.

Once an actor, model, and MuchMusic reporter, Elia recently partnered with epals.com, the largest K-12 social network on Earth. Together they shared an interactive Mt. Everest expedition with 800-1000 classrooms. He is also the featured adventurer of a bilingual television series featuring Canada’s 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites called Our Part of the World now airing on Discovery World.

His media appearances include Canada AM, CBS, NBC, CTV, CBC, A-Channel and various media outlets in the Middle East. His most recent work “Everest – A time-lapse film” went viral and hit #1 on Mashable.com and was shared online and in news outlets across the world.
