An aspiring attorney, Elias Neibart is currently working toward his undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from Emory University. He is focusing his scholarly work on political theory and has taken part in a number of pre-law student activities, having participated in the All-Southeastern Regional Mock Trial program and served as president of the Emory University Pre-Law Society. A member of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honor society, Elias Neibart is also a recipient of the Pat H. Odom Dean's Achievement Scholarship, a three year merit-based award granted to 10 of the university's 1,800 sophomores.
Elias Neibart is in the Scholarly Inquiry and Research at Emory (SIRE) program, through which he has examined the state constitutions of each of the first 13 United States. Focused on searching each document for language related to religious establishment and free exercise, he completed a paper entitled Understanding the Establishment Clause Through the States. He presented his work at the Emory University Undergraduate Research Symposium in the spring of his freshman year.
In addition to his on-campus work, Elias Neibart has completed internships with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York's criminal division, the adult trial section of the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, and the chambers of Judge Michael L. Ravin. He is currently preparing to apply to law school.
