I was born in Cape Town, and have lived in Perth since 1986. I am involved in a wide range of Jewish community activities, including filming events, research, education and arranging exhibitions such as hosting the the Memories of Muizenberg Exhibition in three Australian cities. I give talks and presentations on my worldwide Jewish heritage travel and photography. I am a regular presenter at Limmud Oz. I like to educate about the importance of Jewish cultural heritage, family history and the shtetl. I write and manage 73 KehilaLinks (Jewish websites) for JewishGen, the world’s largest Jewish genealogical organisation. My KehilaLinks include sites in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Germany, Russia, China, South Africa and Australia. My blog is called "Tangential Travel and Jewish Life" which is shared by other social media sites. I arrange bespoke Litvak heritage tours for small family groups. My heritage story has been published on Virtual Shtetl, Poland and Avotaynu Online. My success stories have been featured by Geni.com, Jewishgen.org, SASIG, Shemot and others. I initiated the Partisan Song Project in February. This has been adopted by World ORT and has had international coverage by the Jewish press.
