She is an inspirational Latina leader who shares her stories which inspire action, grounded in relationships and data. Respected as a credible voice in decision-making, finding strategic partners, and empowering teams, Elisa earns a seat at the table wherever she serves.
She is the author of the best selling book, Sparkle On Changemaker where she proposed her SPARKLE framework for equitable impact.
As the head of Culture, Belonging and Social Impact at ChenMed, a privately held, national healthcare company with 100+ centers and 6,000+ team members, Elisa oversees the strategy and implementation of fostering a sense of belonging for team members, patients, and communities. Under Elisa’s leadership, she has created ChenMed’s corporate culture and DEI strategy, securing national certifications of Great Place to Work, Most Loved Place to Work and Top Place to Work. She is now
spearheading major strategic shifts for creating a culture of inclusion, from a functional focus to an enabler of business strategy.
Previously, as a Regional Corporate Responsibility Sr. Manager, Elisa led corporate social impact investing and strategic road mapping in local communities for Target. During this time, she allocated an annual portfolio of $50M of philanthropic investment and in-kind donations in major priority markets across the southern and northeastern regions of the US. Elisa positioned Target as a recognized and credible player in local communities in the education, wellness and resiliency spaces.
Elisa is passionate about the science of happiness. She has served as a speaker and a moderator at the World Happiness Summit since 2017. Her work with the World Happiness Summit is closely tied to her purpose in life – to be happy and bring happiness to others.
Elisa holds an MBA from the IAEBusiness School in Argentina. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Latin American Studies from BrownUniversity. She has a Corporate Social Responsibility Certificate from HarvardBusiness School Executive Education as well as a DEI in the Workplace Certificate from USF.
She is a Miami Fellow, a distinguished program that fosters a new generation of leaders. She also chairs the national board of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.
