My name is Elisabeth Rositsan, I was born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania. I was a member of the Lithuanian National Rhythmic Gymnastics team for seven years, and despite being a basketball fan, I specialize in the so-called “non-traditional” sports such as gymnastics and figure skating. While writing many sports articles for a Russian newspaper and being a professional gymnast, my passion for sports lead me to Ryerson University where I gained media, radio and writing experience. I'm passionate about creating different types of sports content and expressing my opinion through writing, video, and radio. I helped broadcast many U-Sport games, edited clips for the CWHL awards, wrote articles for Ryerson’s newspaper, helped coordinate social media for the HotDocs film festival and co-hosted a radio show Girls Got Game. I am also currently writing for two websites: Year5Collective and TheCanadianBaseballNetwork. I am open to trying new things and expanding my knowledge in the sport media industry.
