What do people say about me? Well... let's say I don't lack for words. But it seems that this is the place to tell my story.
I'm an athlete - the daughter of a semi-pro baseball player and a third generation varsity athlete. I love sports, but I live basketball. I played for UBC and led my team to the national tournament. I coached for over 10 years. I am a referee. (and I play softball and lacrosse). It all makes me a bit competitive.
I'm a passionate go-gooder - I have a degree in ecology, a career raising money for fantastic charities, and a passion to make the world a better place. I currently site on the Advisory Board of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research and am the Vice President of Marketing and External Relations for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
I love learning - I went back to school to get my MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western. I developed and teach the Entrepreneurial Fundraising course at Ryerson University. I devour social media and blogs.
I am a businesswoman and social entreprenur - I am a founding partner at Better The World, a company that I started with my two business school classmates. Better The World is a social enterprise that seeks to find innovative ways to make the world a better place. Check us out at www.bettertheworld.com
I am a mom and wife - I have a glorious daughter and the most supportive and loving husband. I love and cherish every precious moment I have with them. They are with me in everything I do.
I'm a storyteller - ask anyone who knows me.
