Elissa Carmona is a Bronx-based singer/songwriter, Air Force veteran, and winner of the 2020 SU-CASA and 2019 Arts Fund awards. Trained at NYC’s famed Music & Art High School, she holds a BA in social science and MSW degree with a focus in nonprofit management. Elissa is a fiscally sponsored artist of Pentacle/Unique Projects, Inc. and a member of the American Federation of Musicians - Local 802.

An experienced grassroots fundraiser, Elissa performed at Carnegie Hall twice in 2015 from grants she won for a Bronx arts organization. In 2016, she founded Morrisania Band Project (MBP), an award-winning musical collective that adds vibrancy to the South Bronx through music, community engagement, and social causes. From June through October 2018, she presented the Unity Park Concert Series, a series of five public concerts commissioned by Bronx Council on the Arts and City Parks Foundation.

A soul singer with gospel roots, Elissa now performs throughout NYS to promote awareness for causes like sickle cell disease, gun violence, and hurricane relief. She will headline at Queens Night Market on July 20th, and is presently touring "Natural Woman", a tribute to the iconic Aretha Franklin.
