I'm a 20-something, young professional, living in Boston, working in Cambridge, and traipsing the streets in between. I'm an Emerson College alum with a degree in Print & Multimedia Journalism, native of South Texas, and proud Latina. Armed with little more than my degree, a camera, and some pocket change, I'm hoping to create something substantial.
Style Wire is a place where my worlds collide-- my day job in finance, my retail job on the weekends, as well as my personal style and travels. I hope Style Wire becomes a place where conversation is fostered, a source for insight and inspiration, and a home for my style.
I've worked with Peace Games teaching non-violence and tolerance at the Cathedral Elementary School in Boston's South End.
At WERS 88.9FM I served as a morning reporter editing and producing packages and reporting on local, environmental, educational and breaking news.
My internship at WHDH-TV 7News allowed me to assist producers, editors, creative services and talent as well as the annual Health and Fitness Expo. I logged footage, worked heavily with social media, and assisted on promotional shoots.
At 862 Boston I was given the opportunity to work at an amazing non-profit dedicated to promoting literacy for youth ages 6-18. From fliers to websites, I was a design intern who had the opportunity to design books and other materials.
I have my bachelors in Print & Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Publishing. I am currently employed as an operations analyst at Knott Asset Management as well as a sales support associate at Talbots Inc.
