Elite Academy of Science & Techn
Brroklyn, NY, US
Recognizing the importance of providing students with a rigorous high school curriculum in preparation for college, Elite Academy of Science & Technology (EAST) took its spot as the first Jewish high school in Brooklyn to implement STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) learning in the form of its Biomedical Sciences Program, which prepares students for the highly competitive college landscape and careers in medicine, science, and related areas.
Elite Academy of Science & Technology introduces students to the core fundamentals of its Biomedical Sciences Program with Principles of Biomedical Science, a course that involves the exploration of common health conditions and infectious diseases. From there, Biomedical Sciences Program participants ascend through the intensive physiological survey course, Human Body Systems, Medical Interventions, and Biomedical Innovation, which allows students to work in the research field alongside university and medical professionals. Developed by STEM education group Project Lead the Way, the Biomedical Sciences Program at Elite Academy of Science & Technology (EAST) inspires enterprising students to pursue studies and professional training in medicine, biotechnology, and related fields.
More than a private high school with an outstanding STEM education, EAST blends secular college preparatory coursework with the honored traditions of the Jewish religion and culture. A co-educational school with a rich history of educational and community leadership, EAST promotes collaborative learning, the development of students’ individual talents, and a responsibility to contribute to the world around them.
