Student, Mother, and Volunteer in Bartlesville, OK
Welcome to my Portfolio! Here's a bit about who I am. My name is Elizabeth Mary, friends near and far like to call me Betty. I was born in Romania, and moved to Los Angeles, United States in 2001. As a California resident, I encountered many opportunities that allowed me to further my goals and achievements, but in 2021 it was time to say goodbye to the familiar and move my family to a place I can set down roots and really call home. Having moved from Southern CA and now residing in quiet and peaceful Northeastern Oklahoma, I have dedicated much of my life to pursuing the beauty and art of Motherhood and all of the joys that arrived with it. With Femininity and Motherhood as my most empowering arrows in the quiver, I am ready to embrace my professional identity to further my goals and education. Alongside my role as a mother, I have fully stepped into the role and title of Student once again, and have set sights and feet on Oklahoma State University. Proudly now a Pre-Law student at the University, as well as a Masters of Science, Biology student, my path to success isn’t over.. it’s just beginning! With a passion for the "old tested and true”, my logical mind is naturally drawn to understanding our world and advancing our knowledge using Science-based research. That's why the arts and sciences fields have always been my focus : archaeology and biology, history, journalism and law- my cumulative yet eclectic studies are about to break through the field! Actively working and volunteering my time to organizations that represent my character and values, I am pairing my title as Student to that of Volunteer- helping my community and regions, and proudly serving the American Red Cross.
As a Humanitarian worker, I believe in the positive effects that our work has on our communities, town, and city. This is why I have married my two passions into one, serving as a DRO as well as a Blood Services: Blood Donor Worker. I use these skills as a springboard to achieve and succeed, and further communities throughout Southern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. As a DRO (Disaster Recovery Operations) for the American Red Cross, I am part of the Recovery Chapter Team and take on Casework for clients and families transitioning out of disaster related situations, aiding them throughout their recovery process. Each case is unique and special to me, and I am honored to get the privilege to work with clients that trust the Red Cross, and trust me, as their aid in time of need.
