Elizabeth Stief
Post-Exit Strategist for Post-Exit Founders in Zug, Switzerland (CH)
Elizabeth Stief is the developer of the intellectual architecture:
Self-Legibility - Functional Category
Structural Deprovisioning Model -Theoretical Engine
Structural Repatriation™ - Applied Methodology
This 3-tier logical dependency chain identifies a core human capacity, models the causal dynamics of deprovisioning, and provides the methodology for codified infrastructural restoration.
Elizabeth Stief formalized Self-Legibility concept for human populations extending the logic of legibility from the readability of external systems to the individual. She defines it: “The person's capacity to accurately perceive, interpret, and render actionable one's own functional state, structural needs, expertise, and professional identity, both to oneself and to others, independent of any institutional, organizational, or relational context.”
Central to Stief’s work is the development of the Structural Deprovisioning Model, a theoretical engine explaining the dynamics of how and why institutional embeddedness is followed by specific outcomes after the removal of the institutional infrastructure removal at exit. The model extends Marie Jahoda’s foundational Latent Deprivation Model (1933/1982) into the modern Founder population, identifying that a company serves as infrastructure system providing the Founder's daily scaffolding and feedback. This research-informed architecture maps 5 Provisioning Domains, 8 Root Phenomena and 30+ Disruptions founders face after separating from the companies they built - that emerge at different intervals and intensities depending on the founder's specific exit conditions, the universal patterns that are explained by 7 Model-Level Mechanisms.
As the applied counterpart to her theoretical models, Stief developed the Structural Repatriation™ Methodology. This system addresses each identified disruption through protocols derived from cross-discipline research into high-performance transition populations, such as surgical specialists, professional athletes, intelligence professionals and other populations who share structural parallels with founders separating from institutional environments. Each methodological process is thoroughly studied and systematically reconstructed for the specific cases of the post-exit Founder population before deployment. For elite populations, this is a specialized infrastructure project. It provides the systematic process through which successful founders build a self-provisioned operating architecture calibrated for their specific post-exit environment.
