Elizabeth Brundage

A successful writer with a penchant for crafting taut literary thrillers, Elizabeth Brundage is the author of three novels and numerous short stories. She began her formal training at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Film and English. Soon after graduation, she was invited to attend the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, California as a Screenwriting fellow. Most recently, Ms. Brundage studied at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, from which she also received her MFA in Fiction Writing, as well as a James Michener Award honoring her outstanding achievements. Since 2010, Elizabeth Brundage has been a Visiting Writer-in-Residence at Skidmore College.

The Doctor’s Wife, Ms. Brundage’s debut novel, was released in 2004 to critical acclaim. In the eight years since its introduction, the novel has sold more than half a million copies, and is currently in development at Wildwell Films, Inc. She released her follow-up novel, Somebody Else’s Daughter, in 2008, and her most recent work, A Stranger Like You, in 2010. In addition to her novels, Ms. Brundage’s short stories have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including Witness, the Greensboro Review, and New Letters.

Elizabeth Brundage currently resides in her upstate New York, 1830's farmhouse, with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, studying art and architecture, and searching for antiques.
