If there is one thing about art it has helped me to become more comfortable with myself. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADD when I was a child. It was only through art that my mental focus became more effective., As a senior in high school, I stopped taking my ADD medication at a time in my life when I was really questioning what I wanted to do in college. This is what helped me mold myself into who I am today. Art made me able to concentrate and take a moment to relax and feel stress free. To this day art has helped me escape into a meditation state.

My art grows out of my need to feel stabile. Drawing graffiti or invented patterns calms my anxiety and opens up a world that I can control. In many ways drawing, painting, and printmaking are forms of meditation, which make me feel whole. I like to combine extremely dark colors with light colors. My intention is to signify the spirituality of life where darkness gives way to light in a never-ending cycle of life.
