Elizabeth, but please call me Beth

Mother, daughter, sister, aunt. friend are the kindly adjectives used to describe me.

A "recovering people pleaser" is how I describe myself.

Single!

I was laid off in April 2014 from my employer of 19+ years and it was the best thing to happen to me in a very long time. With the support of my family (thanks, Dad!), I'm currently in school pursuing my dream of becoming a Radiologic Technologist. I'm thankful and exremely grateful for this opportunity to do something I love rather than trudging through another unfulfillng corporate job just to pay the bills.

I used to have a blog on Tumblr, but it became too much of a time suck, so I deleted. In the click of a button, four years of my life in writing and pictures were gone - erased forever. While it was nice not having to worry about daily posts, I began missing the outlet it provided. Putting my thoughts, observations, and pictures out there and getting responses from people across the globe was something I truly enjoyed - and sorely missed after a few month's absence. So, rather than going back to Tumblr and getting back into that same old routine of putting pressure on myself to post frequently, I've decided to try WordPress and post once a week on Sundays. We'll see how this goes.

In addition to my two sons (referred to as '16' and '12'), we just adopted a 'bagel' (beagle/basset mix) from the local animal shelter. Her name is Gracie. We also have a 16 year old cat named Carmella and a 10-12 year old Scottie named Gordon (he's my dad's dog and lives here part time.) And yes, thanks to Sprint, we now call him Gor-Don.
