The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won't. ~Henry Ward Beecher

I have a diverse background that has given me a unique aspect on both life and business. I graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Accounting. Since graduating my work experience has included, sales, account management, client relationship management, accounting, and most recently, social media. Quite the mixed bag, right? My post grad career first started out with Xerox. Here I gained incredibly valuable training and experience in sales and client relationship management. Although, I enjoyed my time there I felt a need to explore a career in accounting, as that is what I majored in at StFX. Since then I've had five years of number crunching, tax experience, and budgeting, among my other accounting related duties (see my LinkedIn profile for further detail). Again, I enjoyed my experience in this field but my personality, creativity and outgoing attitude was itching to get out more, work with people and solve non-number problems. In an interesting turn of events I found a new career in an emerging industry. Social Media. I love the fast paced, dynamic, ever changing, sophisticated nature of the social media space. The shift towards social enterprises has been fascinating and a paradigm shifting experience. Now in my personal time I find myself mixing business with pleasure, in terms of tweeting and monitoring all things sports related, reading the latests tweets on running, fitness, and most recently blogging - http://chasing5.blogspot.ca/

Things I can't live without - running sneakers, personal and work goals, sports, my spice rack, my coffee grinder and french press, twitter, my iphone and without a doubt my loyalty to my family and close friends.
