Elizabeth A. Shubsda, MBA, RD, CNSC
Nutrition Manager and Research Enthusiast in New York
I have spent my entire career at one place, starting as a Clinical Dietitian and working my way up to Nutrition Manager over the span of seventeen years. I now have my MBA and I am looking for challenging and meaningful work in the areas of wellness/organic/whole foods or in Oncology.
I recently battled with a case of Primary Liposarcoma (not a "lifestyle" influenced cancer) of the Breast. Sarcomas are extremely rare cancers that affect only 1 in 100 of cancer patients. I did not have Breast Cancer in the traditional sense, although I was treated with a lumpectomy and radiation as any other Stage 1, Grade 3 Breast Cancer patient may be treated. I am now considered to have No Evidence of Disease. I made it through surgery and therapy very well and am now ready to go back to work.
I wish to help people either avoid cancer with appropriate diet or help them during treatment and recovery. I can do this indirectly by helping to improve the quality of the food that we eat or directly by working as an administrator or researcher in the field of Oncology. I am open to both avenues.
