I'm the co-founder of Goodreads.com and a writer, editor, and journalist. As a teenager, I left home to train at the Joffrey Ballet School, Houston Ballet Academy, and the Boston Ballet Academy. After majoring in English at Stanford University, I moved to Paris, France on a whim to work at the fashion house, Chloé. My next reincarnation was as a journalist, covering fashion and the arts. I've written for the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine (where I was the Assistant Style Editor), Time Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, The Los Angeles Times, Dance Magazine, C Magazine, and The Robb Report, among others. I currently live in Santa Monica with my husband and 1-year-old daughter.
