China

I am a sixth-generation Texan, the last born into a loving family of five. The definining moment of my life came when I was about ten years old and made my own decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ. All other decisions in my life hinged upon that one great decision that has proven to be enduring and true.

I ventured out of Texas a few times, first to Tasmania (Australia) for two years, then to Colorado for five. Then I really flew the coup when I ended up in Hong Kong, then China, where I have spent most of my time since 1995.

I spend a lot of my time writing, doing photography and drinking coffee. I love to hear, and retell, the stories of what my God has done in people's lives, transforming them and forever changing their worldview and perceived purpose for living.

I also love all things China -- especially her people. They make really cute Pekingese pups here too, so of course I got myself a fluffy white one who keeps me laughing more than I ever thought I could.

My greatest desire is for my life to count, really count, for the One who redeemed me.
