Elizabeth Alanis

I am a senior at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English. Hence, I'm very passionate about literature. I love to read, write, and edit.

I am very active on campus through several organizations such as the STEMS Mentor Club and Sigma Tau Delta-International English Society. I spend a big portion of my time volunteering and organizing events through these organizations.

I work at my university as a mentor and tutor, not only to provide for myself, but also because I enjoy making a difference among my peers. It is very rewarding to know I was able to make a positive impact and that, because of that, they are in a better position in their lives.

I love wildlife and the outdoors and am particularly fond of succulents. I have several species at my dorm and, yes, they have names. :D

I also love to sing. Opera and pop country are my genre. <3 But really, I am down for anything with a good beat.
