ABOUT ME:
I am originally from Oak Lawn, IL, a suburb of Chicago. At Eastern Illinois University (located in a very small town – Charleston, IL) I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. Moving to Charleston and going to EIU was an experience – from being the home of the original Burger King, World’s Fastest Pop Machine, and many other adventures – I loved my undergraduate experience.
During my time at EIU I was involved in a variety of student organizations, from housing, academic honorary organizations, to co-teaching a first year seminar course. These things, and my other experiences at EIU lead me to realize my passion for working with college students! As the TIP Coordinator at Ferris, I hope to help students achieve any of their academic/personal goals, support students in their transition to college, and help in whatever way possible.
Outside of higher education, I love exploring new restaurants, traveling, antiquing, reading, and watching bad reality TV shows.
Previously: Part-time Retention Specialist at KU's TRIO - Supportive Educational Services, Graduate Assistant Advisor at KU's Undergraduate Advising Center, and Co-Advisor to KU Dance Marathon.
