Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd has spent many years involved in charities and programs to better her local Jackson community. Creekmore is a former missionary who moved to Eastern Europe after earning her BS from Ole Miss. After completing her missionary work in Europe, Creekmore continued her missionary work at college ministries at the University of Texas at Austin and Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Elizabeth Creekmore spent numerous years traveling the South and doing missionary work abroad before returning home to her native city of Jackson, Mississippi. Since settling down in Jackson to raise her family, Creekmore has donated her time and energy to the Center for Violence Prevention and raises funds for the Mississippi Children’s Museums as well as sits on the board of the Southern Christian Services for children and youth.
