After 13 years of teaching history to college students, I cannot leave well enough alone, and in 2012 embarked on a career in knitting.

I work full time as the graphic designer for Girl Scouts of Central Texas.

As co-owner of Stitch Definition, I offer graphic design and editing services to the fiber industry. My partner, Anne, organizes professional photo shoots, while I handle any graphic design and editing needs (logos, pattern templates, yarn labels, charts, schematics, tech editing, etc.)

I'm also the brains and the brawn behind Dark Matter Knits, which is the name for both my knitwear design line and my biweekly video podcast.

I am lucky enough to live in the thriving craftopolis of Austin, Texas, with my adorably precocious son.
