Elizabeth Lowery

Elizabeth “Betsy” Lowery spent 13 years as the owner of Chicago, Illinois-based Little You, a private pediatric speech therapy practice. Alongside language and speech disorders, Elizabeth Lowery treated feeding and swallowing disorders while also overseeing a multidisciplinary team.

In addition to working with clients, she was responsible for staff development, budgeting, and billing. Before establishing the clinic, she was a self-employed language and speech pathologist who worked with hospitals across Chicago, Illinois.

Doing so for six years, Betsy Lowery specialized in short-term rehabilitation therapy and inpatient acute care, and provided outpatient therapy when requested. She held a similar position with public schools across the city, where she worked with children in preschool and middle school.

Providing both group and individual therapy, Elizabeth Lowery treated developmental, cognitive, and neurological disorders. Her main duties were performing initial assessments and following up with appropriate treatment.

Before starting her career, she attended the University of Illinois-Urbana and Governor's State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree, respectively.
