My name is Elizabeth Malcom and being in nature helps me become at peace with myself and others around me. Coming from an extremely close knit family, being outdoors was something we always did together. I have lived in Athens, Georgia my entire life on the farm that my dad grew up on. When living on a farm, one must become accustomed to the activities that take place there. My older brother and my dad love to hunt and fish, and while hunting is not my thing, fishing has always been something that they include me in. It is a way to spend time with my family while also being able to enjoy the peace that being in nature brings me. Sitting on a cool dock looking out over a serene lake, listening to all of the different sounds of the wildlife around me, is the the perfect way for me to work things out in my mind. Everyone needs a quiet and safe space to just sit and think, and fishing at my house provides me with this. Being a natural introvert, I enjoy being outdoors by myself sometimes, but in the presence of my family, I am able to open up and enjoy the amazing memories we create together.
