Bachelors of Science in Psychology UMASS Amherst and Pursuing position as ABA Behavioral Therapist in Leominster, Massachusetts

I am a candidate graduate for 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and minor in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst looking to obtain a position as an ABA Behavioral Therapist.

I offer 4 years of experience working with patients with various levels of cognitive impairments as well as strong customer service and communication skills.

Working with people has always been a passion of mine and I am very people-oriented. I work very well with others, but am also able to handle assignments on my own. I always strive to provide the highest quality of care to everyone I serve.

I strive to build trust based on performance and am committed to growth in both my personal and work relationships. I aspire to gain the respect and admiration of others by being open, honest, fair and reliable, as well as someone that my clients will feel comfortable working with.

As a Certified Nurses Assistant, I assisted residents with Activities of Daily Living, Medications, Activities, as well as Behavioral Interventions on both Assisted Living and Alzheimers and Dementia specific units. I was a student supervisor in multiple retail locations on campus, as well as held the position of Associate Member Educator on the E-Board of Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority. These jobs have solidified my love of working and helping people from all walks of life. The skills that I have learned through holding these positions translate very well into the position of ABA Behavioral Therapist as I would be working one on one with clients and their families as well as come up with plans to help these children reach their highest potential.

My goal is to obtain a position as an ABA Behavioral Therapist in order to help children with ASD as well as their families come up with strategies and behavioral interventions that will allow for each child to reach their highest goals. This position will also provide the extra training and experience necessary to further pursue my goal of attending graduate school in the future and will help me build a solid foundation.

I appreciate you taking the time to learn about me, and hope to hear from you soon!
