Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I'm an associate professor at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in Japan.

I spend my days building stars and planets in a computer and wondering when I'll learn enough Japanese that the canteen will become less confusing than my research.

I am a feature writer for the ISAS JAXA Cosmos blog, which focuses on in-depth analysis of space missions and science. My popular science writing has also appeared in print and online in places such as ‘Scientific American’, 'Astronomy Magazine', 'How it Works', 'Nautilus', 'space.com', ‘The Conversation’, and the NExSS Many Worlds column,

My book on planet building and exoplanets, 'The Planet Factory', is published by Bloomsbury Sigma.

I also have a cat. She is furry.
