Elizabeth Jones has held ministry-related positions for ten years. She is a chaplain with two units of Clinical Pastoral Education at two Trauma-1 level hospitals in the Chicago area. She has an additional year of chaplain internship at a large senior retirement community in Evanston, serving the health care unit and the cognitive care/dementia unit. Elizabeth is skilled in crisis care, trauma intervention, and working with patients and clients from diverse religious/spiritual backgrounds. She has completed a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and a certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from Oakton Community College. She holds a Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling in Illinois through IAODAPCA and is also skilled in one-on-one counseling, group facilitation, intake and assessment, and charting patient records.
She is a member in the United Church of Christ. She has been involved in various ministry and prayer-related activities for over twenty years, at several churches. She excels at preaching, teaching, personal interaction, and prayer and meditation. Elizabeth is also a daughter and sister, a wife and mother, has four healthy, curious and strong-minded children in their teens and twenties, and a loving husband who works as a senior editor at a trade publication in Chicago.
