Ella Mei was not my born name. My first real name meant “hidden” and “darkness”. For some reason, that is truly how I always felt! All my life I felt depressed, and sad, and like a dark shadow. Then one day, slowly the light came breaking thru.. I finally found my light!! I changed my name to Ella Mei, which means beautiful bright light – because that is how I now feel!

I have learned that I don’t have to be married, rich or with people to be happy. I have learned to find my joy within, whether I’m with someone, or completely alone, whether I have riches or none.. I am single – means I'm an individual that's responsible for my own life.

I like to philosophize.. I like running... I love the outdoor life. I like the simple life. And I love my son... this is what's important to me.
