Elle Rothschild Byck
I was born on January 10, 1992 weighing seven pounds and eight ounces. My mother always tells me I was smiling the minute I left her belly. I was a very happy and active child, who played every sport thought possible. Even if it was trying to see who could throw the rock the furthest in the water, I made it a contest. My main competition was my older sister, Jessica, who is now twenty-three. Although she was my opposition, I will never have a stronger friendship with anyone else in my life. She is my best friend, but coming in a close second would have to be my parents. They are both doctors and also two of the greatest roll models for any child to have. They are the two main reasons I have pursued a career in the medical field. Growing up in their offices and around the hospital has made a major impact on my dreams and goals in life. I have had lots of opportunities and wonderful memories throughout my childhood and young adulthood that I am so thankful for.
I was a very busy kid all throughout elementary school and high school. Along with keeping myself occupied with sports practice, ballet, and piano lessons, I also took many family trips, visiting lots of beautiful places and extended family members. Christmas at grandma’s house and trips to Italy were among the multiple blessings I have been able to experience in my life. It was experiences like these and relationships I have had that have taught me about values that have shaped the person I am today. I could not be happier with the way I was raised and the opportunities I have had. Now, standing five feet and eight inches tall, I attend the University of Georgia. I am attending a great University and taking challenging, interesting courses that I enjoy and I could not be happier with my relationship with my friends and family.
