Ellen Breyer
Ellen Breyer began her collegiate education at The College of New Rochelle where she attained her Bachelor of Arts in English. She then went on to New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and achieved her Master of Business Administration studying marketing and international business. Ellen Breyer also spent time studying abroad at the London Business School. Ellen Breyer’s first major posting was at Godiva Chocolatier as a Director of Corporate Marketing in New York City. There, she managed the brand in various positions and was responsible for product strategy, packaging, distribution, international sourcing and national advertising. Ellen Breyer then became the President of the Truffles Group where she was recruited by Cherry Tree Ventures to evaluate funding options and manage the operations. Starting her own consulting business, Ellen L. Breyer Consulting, in 1990, she consulted with a variety of companies on organizational strategy, market planning and new product and service development. As the Principal of Cumberland Partners Limited, Ellen Breyer currently creates strategies for healthcare organizations to improve their services and gain new customers. Ellen Breyer has given back to her community by serving on the boards of such organizations as the Open Book Literary Center, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, the MacPhail Center for Music, the National Guild for Community Arts Education, the Neuroscience Development Committee of The Minnesota Medical Foundation, and Freedom from Hunger, where until 2010 she served as the Vice Chair of the Board, Strategic Planning Chair, Development Chair, and a member of the Finance Committee.
